Week 5 Run 3

I have just completed the nemesis run that have I

been fearing the last 5 weeks.

I am 19 stone 11lb. I have lost a stone since week 1 Run 1 which I did in my back garden as I was too embarrassed to go out. Now with my playlist , trainers and big girl sports bra I have run for a whole 20 mins.

Anyone out there who think they can’t do it - just trust the program. It’s mind over matter.

If I can do it with a BMI of 47.7 (was 49.9)

ANYONE CAN.

I know I can finish the 30 mins now. I am not frightened of it anymore .

Nemesis vanquished, gremlins slain and now fearless... good run too. Fantastic job. Weight is dropping at a good sustainable rate, well done on that score too.

You got this.

This run was my terror too. Genuinely did not understand how it could be possible to go from 8minutes ( and struggled with it) to 20 minutes but I’ve just done it this afternoon. Granted the last 8 minutes felt like 100!!!! Well done!

Fabulous job 👏👏👏

I'm up to w5r2 so it's always good to hear others have slain the w5r3 gremlins 🤗

Well done you, you’ve inspired me. I’ve just come back after repeating wk 3, all of the runs, a second time because I didn’t feel I could cope with wk4. It was a little easier, though not EASY! Next week I’m going for it 🏃🏽‍♀️ Thank you 😊

Brilliant! All you have to do now is remember you did that one and keep putting one foot in front of the other. I look forward to seeing that 'Graduate' badge next to your name - but no rush, you'll get there. Just go steady.

This is what I needed to read. I am five stone overweight and just about to go out to do week3run2. After really struggling with the last 3 minute run on Wednesday, I was wondering if my weight would stop me goi g any further. Well done on your achievement and Thankyou 😊

Well done! You give me hope at BMI 31. May I ask, did your shoulders hurt when you first started? Mine are giving me gyp

No not really. I used to get a sharp pain in my right shoulder related to breathing but now I really try to belly breathe and it’s fine

Thanks for the post Puddindavis. It was very encouraging. I have the nemesis tomorrow morning - I don’t think I’ll sleep tonight! I’ll be so upset if I don’t manage the scary 20 minutes 😢😖

Oh well done Puddindavis! Really inspiring stuff. 👍👏💐👟🙂

Have you changed your diet at all? I haven't really, but I have slowly lost 3kg since starting C25K - BMI down from 35.6 to 34.2 but still firmly in the scary zone. My goal is to become overweight LOL.

I do love running!

I have been doing weight watchers since starting C25K. It’s funny- I rarely loose weight around the days I run and then when I am on 2 or 3 rest days my weight then drops. Something to do with retaining water for glycogen and muscle repair. Many people are disappointed with weight loss whilst running and last week I lost zero but this week suddenly 4lb off
