First annual telecon with consultant post Nstemi & 4x CABG. Possibly stop taking bisoprolol..
last Saturday I had a call with the consultant at my local hospital that I’ve been charged to after surgery in St Thomas’s London last July. She thinks I’m doing incredibly well. I asked if what future check ups I will be having , yearly cholesterol etc but it looks like I will be left alone until 5

My dad had CABG X4 just over two years ago. Dad's feeling a stretch where the incision is, from the top to bottom.
My dad was 42 when he had bypass surgery. His recovery was fast, he does weightlifting at gym around 4 times a week and goes for cycling on weekend. I worry every day most time of the day about his health and future. Over past couple of days he has been getting a stretching pain from the where the incision

CABG for a woman
hello ladies I have finally received my pre surgery appointment at the Harefield Hospital - for October - are there any women who were advised to have a bypass and how many arteries were grafted? or women who have been part of the Roma women’s trials? Look forward to your replies. Michèle

CABG, Exercise & BPM
Hi - Looking for perspectives and any experiences on intensive cardio exercise and max bpm limits post CABG (dare I say on or at least near a competitive basis). Standard Cardio Rehab programmes can only take you so far. No problem with mine in this respect, it's giving me the great guidance and provision

Today
is gonna be the day.,, I’m in for 3/4 CABG op. So far so good - getting rid of acres of body hair has been the “highlight” - the awkward gown and string pants add to the joy immensely. Going down to theatre about 12:00 Watch for updates later in the week Thanks for the support here - it’s great

Worried I can't find any info on surgeon due to perform OHS on my husband.
My husband is scheduled for a CABG in a month's time. I worry that I can find no information on his surgeon who is S.E.Asian. No biog or reviews . Also out of the 600 odd reviews for the private hospital specified only 2 were for CABG. The rest were for minor ailments and a few for other operations

Octenisan
I have a date for my CABG, next Wednesday. I was given a bottle of Octenisan to use before the op in the shower. I think I was told 5 days, does this seem right? And do I use it on my hair too? Any advice welcome

co-amilofruse
Hoping someone can give some advice. My partner had a double CABG eight weeks ago. After the surgery he was put on co-amilofruse, to be reviewed at his follow-up with the surgeon. Prior to the surgery he was on furosemide. We understand that co-amilofruse is a diuretic and will obviously cause him

RCA Severe Diffuse disease
I had 3x CABG May 23. I have since been told this had failed after an angiogram and an MRI. I saw interventionist cardiologist two weeks ago who said he was going to undertake a very complex procedure to try and resolve the blockage he said few people undertake the procedure, he wasn’t very clear

Irrational fears
Going through my diagnosis and subsequent 3 x Cabg last July, I find myself struggling with the way my body has let me down. I struggle with fears which are holding me back from making decisions to do nice things, I procrastinate, and in the end don't do them. I'm trying to book a holiday, but I can't
