Morning all - dual lead pacemaker - stage 3 heart failure 6 years ago. October 2023 heart attack - 3 stents - no damage to heart - last month an additional 3 stents - rejected CABG - cardiologist does not believe i will survive procedure (told to me ina very nice way)
Now my issue is that i am British in South Africa, and although i read the hideously long waiting times that you all have to endure - we have no post event support - thus we have no Cardiac Rehab Programme that seems to be on offer from the NHS.
Is there a physical version that someone can send me or is it more about meeting a cardiac nurse and running through the programme. I am struggling for both the psychological support as well as the "get well, fit and strong" aspects.

each individual group of hospitals has their own program I believe. Some of them used to provide a full-on leaflet so maybe another poster has got one of these? I chucked mine!
I’m surprised at what you say about SA cardiac support post-op, though, as my (limited) experience of SA medical provision for those that can pay is far better than ours in in the UK.
Good morning ClegJase. If you can get YouTube over there and put in the search. Pulmonary rehabilitation exercises and you will find videos of simple exercises that you can do in your home to keep you fit. Sit to stand is an easy one. You basically sit and stand 15 times and then after rest repeat another 2 times. Or you could ask at a local gym for advice from 1 of the instructors. Hope this helps. Brian
