What are your favourite running tops?

hi all!

I'm looking for suggestions for running tops, I have a few (sweaty Betty, karrimor, some other bamboo ones) but my favourite is the free new balence one I got at the vitality 10k last year- it’s super light and comfortable.

What are your favourite tops? I’m overwhelmed by the choice online!

Great thread. I’m looking forward to picking up some new recommendations. My Bath half finishers top is my favourite! I’ve got some ronhill core ones I like a lot. The long sleeved version is especially good with a hydration vest. The t shirts often reduced which is a bonus. I’ve got a “streaker” t shirt from Under Armour with a seam across the back which is really comfy but less good with a vest on.

I love the designs on the Vitality 10000, but I find the neckline a bit tight. I think my favourite is my first Great South Run 30th anniversary shirt, followed by the parkrun milestones.

Great question... I have, as MissUnderstanding has, a couple of Ron Hill, ones, collected over the years which are Reebok... my winter long sleeved thermal ones... Under Armour, essential in winter for me, anyway.

But my favourite ,which is so old now I don't really wear it often, but I totally love ? It is a chap cotton one but it has my famous, or is that infamous... mantra, on the forum, on it...

Apart from parkrun Milestone t-shirts of course! The quality of those has varied over the years as they changed suppliers but the current ones from Sportsshoes seem to be good so far.And my Lanza Road Runners shirt. That is wearing well after a few years, I do occasionally wear it in this country as well.

Sprinters do good shirts, I have had a few from them over the years including our lockdown virtual Lanzarote run, tshirts for our ukelele group (although we don't run in them!) and some for our friends' garden party.

They wash well and keep their shape.

Lidl gear is great, and so long lasting. I’ve got more Lidl crops and vests than any other brand

Aldi gear is fine too 😀

I have two running tops from Regatta which are excellent. Next best are two Puma tops and I have loads from races which have lasted well. I was wearing a nice Sketchers top today. My parkrun milestone T-shirts and Apricot Tourist T-Shirts are my favourites, but I only wear them at parkrun.

If I'm quite honest, whatever I find in the charity shops! I'm always surprised by how much sports clothing, much of it fairly unworn, is donated. Apart from that, my favourite has to be my Cape of Good Hope t-shirt. It's comfy to wear and often sparks a conversation.
