This might be a bit left field but has anyone tried to video their regular run?
I watch some of the youtube channels where they run along with selfie poles. I’m not into selfies but on the last run I did, I had an idea it would be nice to record it with a bit of commentary, like a vlog piece, but unscripted off the cuff, maybe expressing the trepidation for an upcoming EG (a hill), or checking my pace, or getting my breathing back in its box.
I googled “gopro” cams and I can’t justify paying for one of those - probably not even the stick! So I stood up in the living room and recorded a bit on my phone while running on the spot. The playback wasn’t as bad as I’d imagined; a little in and out of focus at times, as it was adjusting itself to the movement but the image was clear enough for amateur grade. Outside might be different, because of the viewing distances. And I’d have to find something to hold it with - don’t fancy holding it in my hand - but I may see how it goes.
It might be interesting to see where others go to on their run too. Just wondering here if anyone has tried it already, or thought about it.

I haven't - but does remind me of a suggestion I saw on the Running Channel - that you get someone else to video you running past them so you can check your posture and gait.
Belt? Now I’m trying to picture that, with a big brass buckle! Or like Batman’s. 😁I’m thinking bodycams now, like the copper’s carry. I wonder how much they are.
I have considered it. Hubby has a variety of gopro cameras and chest mounts etc....
But, he used to record our motorcycle rides years ago and somehow it put me right off biking, although this didn't happen with cycling it makes me wary so I just make do with photos. On some runs I have taken 50+ 🤣
I think it could be fun but I suspect I’d probably fall over!🤣 I remember getting my phone out mid-run on a snowy trail to take a photo last winter….I accidentally hit “video” and then slipped over faffing about trying to change it back to “photo”! So I basically videoed myself falling over, which caused much amusement to my family when I showed it to them on return!!🤣🤣😳
I know the V1 phone holder vest has been used for holding the phone while it films the run. It has a clear front window, and if you invert the whole vest, the clear window is where the cameras on the phones are. Voila!
