Got home from work, it’s really hot out there, Willow wasn’t keen on running, maybe it’ll cool down he say but it wasn’t cooling at all.
I really wanted to run so said I’d go alone.
It’s hill repeats today and too hot to labour up steep hills, anyway I really don’t want to get back in the car, that was like an oven when I came home from work.
Warm up 5 minutes, walked for awhile then ran slowly, and I am off!!!
45seconds at 10kpace, 7.20 hmm Icouldnt keep that up for10k.
Recovery, I used these times for a brisk walk. I’m heading towards the Downs and it’s slightly uphill most the way, that’ll do for hills, next run 15 seconds flat out, 5.50kpm wooo that was over quick.
Repeat 5 times with brisk walking in between, last run and turn for home, whoops, I’m nearly 2k from home, dripping wet and bright red, only thing to do is continue with the intervals and go back the same way , arrived home 38 minutes since I left, my legs said run past the door and get 4k it’s not far, my head said, yes you can do it, my bladder said , we are home, quick get inside and…. , 3.73 k in the bag and happy happy , Willow had just poured me a glass of ginger ale, that went down, then another, then a glass of water then a cup of tea, that was monumentally idiotic but I really enjoyed it and Elvis sang to me all the way
