I don’t know where my enthusiasm has come from but i arrived home and said I wanted to run for a short faster run today, Willow said he didn’t think he was up for a run so I went on my own.
Music on, out the door, walk down the road, garmin latched on to GPS so off I ran, whoops, I realised I hadn’t walked for 5 mins so wasn’t warmed up, after a few minutes glanced at the watch and woah way too fast but the path meanders slightly upwards, slowed down and vaguely thought about the toxic 10 as it felt hard, then suddenly I found my pace, felt good, 1k done in a bit over 9 mins and on to the next.
Then luck was on my side…. the path widened and flattened and my legs stretched my arms pumped and for a minute or so I really felt like I was running, and it felt good. I’ve been at work all day so I didn’t have much energy so slowed to get comfortably to 2k then jeffed home half a kilometre, 2.65 k in 24 mins, not fast but not slow for me.
When I got home the chicken, bacon with cheese and mediterranean veg that i quickly shoved in the oven before leaving was almost cooked, the tea Willow made was cool enough to drink, life doesn’t get much better.
Happy Monday all
