We were awake til 3am (don’t ask but we really are too old for that!)
Anyway off we went, new music playlist and I belted round the track, then slowed down and for the rest of the run I looked at Willows back getting further and further away,
By the end of the run i was in What’s the point mode and when Willow got in the car I said I wasn’t fit company and was going to walk home!
So I walked home and realised on the way that one little nicotine lozenge would have been sensible so when I got home I put one in my mouth and sat and sulked
After a while we started talking about the run and it wasn’t bad, but i’m disappointed that we aren’t going further and we aren’t going faster. Due to walking home the stats are slow, Willow grinned and said his stats are great as he drove home and forgot to stop his fitbit 😂
Now we are going shopping and then a sleep to a sunday afternoon film sounds nice
Happy Sunday all

I guess we all have runs where we think what's the point, but I imagine it's more frustrating when you both run and one of you has had a good day and the other not so great. But next run will be different I'm sure.
I really do like your Sunday afternoon plan, snoozing to an afternoon film.... heaven x
😂! WillowandSola!! I love this post! Not because things didn’t go as well as you would have liked, but because it’s just real. I have those kind of runs too. Then I tend to laugh at myself later. I’m running and I’m at the point where I have big expectations. That’s amazing really when you think about it! From a non runner to an occasionally stroppy runner 😳! 😉👌🏽 Every run isn’t fantastic...but...you’re both so fantastic! 🤩
I beg to differ too! You’re getting faster from the stats you have shared before. 🤔! But...I think it’s perfectly ok to have a strop every now and then! The stomp home will have helped too! I think a strop can be very healthy. Better out than in!! You’ll be fantastic AGAIN on your next run too! 😉
Aww thank you so much Fabulous, we’ve been shopping put dinner in a low oven and had snacks, although not sure left over jerk chicken crazy potatoes and cheese straws counts as a snack
We bought dinner, slept while it cooked and relaxing to a bit of telly, looking back my first half a k was awesome, i was running at a lovely pace then realised it wasn’t sustainable and slowed right down, my average pace of course was affected by the walk home but it was worth it, I’m looking forward to tuesday’s run though which will be in the morning before work
I love the idea of you having a strop and walking home Sola! It must that 3am bedtime! I was up at that time too but for an entirely different reason - the down side to this hydration lark 😳. But you were out there and stats aren’t everything, so chalk it down to one of ‘those runs’ and you know next time will be better. And if it isn’t, you can do what Willow did - get in the car with the fit bit still working and make like Mo Farah!! Enjoy your afternoon snooze!
Thanks so much OGR’s Garmin has a will of his own and stops when the run is finished whereas Fitbit has to be manually stopped otherwise she carries on regardless 😝 when i first got a Fitbit I used to meet my friend after work for a walk and regularly forgot to stop it for the drive home
