Then we couldn’t work out what to do, we weren’t sure we wanted to run 11 times round our track, it’s been really busy there lately....so I started looking up places to walk, after some discussion about whether we would run or just go for a walk Willow said he liked where we went along the river.... and some running could happen
It’s beautiful, it’s warm but not hot, it’s a bit uneven so we went slow enough to enjoy the scenery,
“there’s a couple of bulls over there and no fences” says Willow, oh dear city boy, they were miles away, on we ran, until i turned my right ankle on a lumpy bit which yanked my left calf which is ok but not completely healed
Then i hobbled a bit, at 2.75k we turned, and after a bit more hobbling we gently slowly ran back, it was magic being out this morning
Very slow and took loads of photos, but we covered the required 5.5k plus some for walking
Have a great day whether you run or not

Brings a smile to my chops!! Love it. 5.5k done 👏👏👏👏
Willows concern over the bulls made me giggle, It always makes me realize how different we are, city boy and farm girl, it really shouldn’t work but it’s perfect
Six lovely photos, glad you enjoyed your run apart from the bit you had to hobble at 2.75K, good day for a run as well, the weather forecast for tomorrow is ☔ rain.
Oh what fabulous photos. I love seeing where everyone runs... it’s like a running tour of the world. Hope that ankle is ok 🤞 too. Great distance and I am with you on the bulls! I would have been running in opposite direction 😊
Thanks, ha ha I think most of them were cows, it was too far to be sure, When i was a child there was the most beautiful bull on another farm that we were allowed to stroke, he had cream ruffled hair and a huge ring round his nose, don’t think Willow has been very close to cows or bulls
Thank you, i’m fine running on the flat but so love to run along the river just have to go really slow, I think we’ve decided on the magic plan the shorter runs can be on our usual track and faster then our longer runs along the river and if we walk a bit in the middle at least we are covering the distance
It is beautiful indeed!! 😁😁 I am highly likely to have said the same as Willow about the bulls 😳...! I wouldn’t want to upset them, 😂! Hope your ankle is ok 🤗.
Looks and sounds like a perfect place to run 🤩! Well done!! 😁😁❤️
It is a lovely place to run slowly and enjoy the view, mind you after rain it will be back on flat tarmac for us, I’d hate to slide in the river and in winter the part we ran on today will be under water a lot
Tide was going out today and the river was dropping fast, i’m pleased that Willow loves it there too, i do start to get bored going round and round a half kilometre track sometimes
Yes, I agree with you!! 😉 I have a lovely little park nearby, but I go for my long run elsewhere where I can really enjoy seeing more of a variety!! 😁❤️
Fantastic W&S! What great photos too and I’m glad that Willow enjoyed it. I’m always cautious around bulls (they wouldn’t have 2 in one field surely? 😳) and I even keep cows at arm’s length. They’re gentle souls, but every so often they “go off on one”! I used to keep my horses on a farm - I’ve seen them in action!
Take care on that uneven ground. You know that already! I hope your ankle and calf are ok.
Having been chased by young bullocks in my youth and reading recently about 2 people being attacked by cows I share Willow’s concerns about the bulls and I am not a city girl. Love the pictures x
