🧦 Well, I just had to allow my new Injinji toe socks take me out for a quick run, today! They feel brill, toes all wiggly and free!
☃️ Weather wasn’t too good where I ran, but it was better weather down in Somerset where my LeJOG self is running along the M5! So it’s nice to have a choice of weather through my different running selfs 😆😆🌤⛈❄️🌪☀️🌧, even though I still get wet if it’s raining at home! 💦🙁
🎄 It’s been a thoughtful Christmas, too much food and too big hams for the number of members in our household, with boardgames played by only our little family bubble, with Jitsi Zoom rooms connecting our families, gaining some form of togetherness. But we are fortunate, safe and sane albeit dispersed through France, Germany, Cornwall, Midlands, East Anglia and Cheshire (hmmm... sounds like there’s scope for a virtual race! )
🏃🏻♀️ My Magic Plan is in maintenance mode, at least that’s what im calling it. During the food rich holiday season I am running just 5ks at the moment. But next on my Magic Plan is another 8k, and it will happen soon!
🎁 And I can now say each member of my immediate family, including myself is now a proud owner of a pair of injjnji toe socks, and thanks to hubby I now finally have a yoga mat of my own now. And I got hubby a 66fit massage stick for his ailing calf muscles, hoping that will help him get off the IC and back to running. Even without having run, it already feels heavenly rolling our legs with it!
🎒 And one of the big surprises was a hydration running backpack. I had forgotten that I had discussed this with hubby, back when I decided to buy my V1 Vest, saying that I might have to consider also having a hydration solution once I get to 10k. As I’m such a slow runner, it will take me more than 2 hours for the 10k, so hydration is becoming an issue. 🐌🐢🧋
So I seem to be all set to get to 10k!!
Have a wonderful run-rich holiday,
Happy running everyone!!!!
