Completed, forgot to put a corn plaster over my little toe so I’m now sporting a blister! It’s the only toe that requires more than toe socks to stay healthy. So after the run I pulled off my trainer and started walking but it felt like it wasn’t going to do me any good so I pulled off the other trainer and walked home in my odd toe socks. One black one bright blue. Got strange looks off of lots of folk.
It was weird to run such a short time/distance hoping to fix little toe so I can get on with run 2.

Haha me too! I used to always get a blister under my right big toe and it is always under a really thick layer of skin so very painful. I always wear runners toe socks and not had one since.
Well bar the ones I rubbed by NOT wearing my toe socks on a WALK on Sunday when I got caught in the rain. Got one on side of big toe joint and one under big toe joint about the size of a 50p, from wet sock. But blister plasters sorted them in a couple days.
Perhaps you need a size bigger trainers? They say to go up a size when running
I have the brooks extra wide ones got fitted for just got rectangular slabs for feet and my toe sits a bit under the one next to it even with the sports toe socks 😳
I had problems when I was training for a walking marathon two years ago so I’ve been really careful until this morning. Blisters are the worst they stop everything. I did wear bits of bandage round each toe until I got my toe socks. That took forever!
Yeah I sympathise. I have bunions and it means my second toe walks partly in my big toe causing the blister. I’ve tried a little specialist wedge between the toes but it just pushes the second one into the third one and makes them ache so thankfully toe socks work.
I bought something similar from a Physio website, which came as 2 long cuttable gel sleeves. I find them great for little toe issues (mainly rubbing on the outside in my case, but they are soft and cushioning, and you can remove and just wash them under a tap before reuse).
Glad they help. I discovered them years ago when I needed something to stop my snorkelling fins rubbing my little toes when I swam in the sea for miles. I now carry a bit of the tube in my first aid kit when hiking too, as it stops boots rubbing my little toes better than anything else. 👍😊
