Sock uplift?

First run with the new toe socks. Something pushed my pace up a bit over the 30 minute run, so .... ? Magic 10 and new socks as well = a winning combo! πŸ‘πŸΌπŸŽ‰ For those who were wondering, the toe socks are soooo comfy - no slippage or rubbing and very soft. The toes seem to adjust to foot shape. Big success so far, so I recommend them. 😊

They look like they should not be a good idea but your post suggests they are.

Seen people mention double layer socks too.

What is the thinking behind toes socks? What made you try them?

Running Daughter loves them, and I got Sock Envy. πŸ˜‚ I think they are really intended for distance running - the theory is they prevent skin to skin contact on the toes so no rubbing. They are very slightly fuzzy and quite thin and with a stretchy knit, so the bulkiness I wondered about is not an issue. Maybe I’m destined for distance running in 2025? πŸƒπŸΌβ€β™€οΈπŸ˜„

Thank you. πŸ‘£ I will look out for some. They sound to be just what my poor old toes need 😊

Hope they work. Mine are made by Injinji; don’t know if there are other brands.

Oh I’ll try them too maybe. For some reason I thought they would rub more but thinking about it, seems like a good idea.

They are very soft & light (I was worried too light, but no...) and they sort of cling to my toes so don’t seem to shift at all.

That’s really good to know, when I am feeling brave, I’ll invest in a pair!

Today I was on a walk and I saw a girl with multi coloured wellies, I thought oh those are nice! What is it with running that makes one go for the most gaudy clothing πŸ˜‚

Something, for sure. It’s the only context in which I do it! πŸ˜„

Sweet! Thanks for the sock review. I'm thinking when I go to the city for new trail shoes, I'll have to see if they have the toe socks there (I'm sure they will!). If not, there is always Amazon.
