Flying in new trainers...10K PB

They finally let me into the 12 stone club after months of running and shedding 20Kg since July 2019 - a treat was in store! It had to be a new pair of trainers! I splashed the cash on a pair of Adidas Adizero Adios 4 - RRP £110 but were £55 from Pro:Direct . I can highly recommend them as I actually flew today! The conditions were not brilliant but I try to do my Strava 10K challenge early in the month so today was the day. The new shoes were springy, narrow, fitting snuggly and I was determined to go for a PB. Now, those who have seen my posts will know I am not built for speed but I notched up a 10K in 1 hour 14 minutes and 10 seconds shaving 90 seconds from my time last month and taking off 6 minutes since my June debut - so happy and a little emotional. I will come down from my runner's high in a bit but these little wins make it all worthwhile. Happy running...
