10k in the rain and a PB

Today was a good day! We had scheduled a long run, but instead of getting up early we decided to wait until the evening and have a well deserved lie in instead. And then it started raining so we set off. 2k in and we decided that we couldn’t get any wetter so we may as well aim for 10.

We were very very wet, but running in the rain and splashing through the puddles was actually fun. And I took 6 minutes off my PB for my 10k time and 2 minutes off my PB for my 5k time. 😁.

Feeling quite chuffed with myself, and proud of my daughter for completing her first outdoor 10k in ‘sunny’ singapore!

It must be lovely running in the rain in your warm temperatures. I know last summer we were doing rain dances to try and encourage some rainclouds. Well done - far better than the treadmill
