I set myself the goal of running a 10k each month until my first proper 10k race in just over 2 weeks π¬ Today was my 2nd run this week and I was planning to do 9k as I did 8k for my long run last week. The sun is beating down (wish the weather would make its mind up which season weβre in π₯΅) so short sleeves and cropped leggings replaced last weekβs winter woollies. I got to 4.5k on my usual out and back route and was feeling quite comfortable so decided to keep going. I must admit the last couple of kms were really hard, but I had negative splits from km 4 onwards and finished in 1:07:30, which is 34 seconds faster than my February 10k. Now I have to set myself a new target for the Lincoln 10k π«. Thank you cheekychipmunks for putting the idea in my head! Just parkrun to go to complete this week. Happy running runny friends πββοΈπββοΈπββοΈπββοΈ

Good for you Sandie, youβre on a roll and youβll smash your PB again at the race no doubt! Oh wow, receiving your number makes it seem so real, and I got a fit of the butterflies for you! π¦π¦π¦ Canβt wait to hear all about Lincoln! π
Mineβs not for 6.5 weeks and Iβm already getting overly excited at the prospect! ππββοΈππ
Starting to feel a bit nervous now! Then I tell myself not to be silly - Iβve done it 4 times now and itβs only like doing 2 parkruns, just with several thousand more runners π¬π²π³
