It's my 6 month runniversary today - 2nd Jan was the start of my C25K journey, when I had little expectation of getting past 30 seconds running, as it had never been something I had EVER wanted or tried to do! I've been running 3 days a week since then, using various NRC runs and parkrun, and JJ Magic Plan. When I woke up early this morning I felt that today was the day to attempt my 1st 10k. Very pleased to complete it with no issues. I can recommend the NRC '10k run' with Coach Bennett - full of visualisation and inspiration πππββοΈ

That's truly impressive, well done to you. Time to celebrate? π π§π₯
Absolutely fantastic news! Massive congratulations to you! Hope thereβs some serious celebrating going on!
HUGE well done to you!
Congratulations πππ the badge looks good too
Thanks, I've just noticed you have 60 mins AND 10k badges! I didn't know you could have both, I might have to ask.....π
It was an update from the site a little while ago! For some reason, some posters seem to have kept every badge they were ever awarded! I can give you both of you want both!! SueAppleRun if you only want one I can fix that too!
Congratulations on your first 10k - a fab distance!π
fantastic! Sounds like you have been so devoted, running 3 times a week is awesome!
Well deserved
Fantastic job, it's amazing what we can achieve when we set our mind to it ππ...and with the brilliant support of our running forums π
Very well done! Congratulations!!
I'm on the NRC 10 K plan and hope to hit my first 10K in the coming weeks.
What's next for you?
Good luck with your 10k! I think I might try to get a bit faster on the 5k, probably using the C25K 'beyond...' runs. I might try to do a 10k once a month, but can't imagine running any further, but never say never... π
Terrific goal!! Once I hit 10K, I think I'm going to try to consolidate on my runs greater than 5K. Maybe a half-marathon next year?? We shall see...
After my 10k I actually felt I would be able to run further, if it wasn't for my digestive system rebelling! As I'm vegetarian and eat most of the 'healthy' fibre-rich foods that could cause runners' trots, I might find it tricky to run further, although an HM is a tempting target. Despite saying I probably won't try longer distances, I have found myself signing up to the 'Fun beyond 10k' forum .....π
