It may be virtual, it may be the river Trent and not the Thames... But i did it, and at an unexpected PB time which blew me away too. And yes I did wear my bib π Happy running...
I did my first race!!! πββοΈ: It may be... - Bridge to 10K
I did my first race!!! πββοΈ
Well done to have completed your first race! And congrats on that superb time too ππππππββοΈπ
Thank you!! When i noticed on my watch how well my time was doing i just had to sprint that last km... π
If there had been crowds cheering, youβd have done it even faster π
Well done to you Sonia on completing your first race, the London 10,000, great time as well, now go and celebrate π.
Well done on completing your Vitality 10000 Sonia! ππππFantastic time too! Now you can rest up and wait for the bling to arrive!ππ
I canβt wait!! It will be my first bling too!! π And thank you. I have actually been doing a 15 week Garmin coach plan to get a 5k in 29 minutes. I skipped todays workout for this race, but i guess all those hill and speed repeats must be working! I am much happier running 10k than up a hill though... π
Yep - hills are tough but they do help with speed...and hills obviously!ππ
Congratulations and well done fellow Virtual Vitality London 10ker.
Congratulations! π
Great job and a great time congratulations hoping to run mine on Wednesday. πππππ»ββοΈ
Excellent work, congratulations! I used to live near there
Thatβs an amazing time, well done!
Wow, thats fantastic, very well done π, I felt all nostalgic reading your post, I used to run along the River Trent many moons ago, near Trent Bridge at WB, hope to come and run the Robin Hood Half one day π€
Iβve not ran down the Trent that far but i do plan to!! I like walks too, checking out new routes. Also canal paths are lovely and flat, the nearest part to me being Beeston Weir. But i do also walk and plan to run one day the old Nottingham canal and Erewash canal. Itβs a good place to live Beeston, especially during lockdown.
Yes Beeston is lovely, enjoy your exploring, thereβs a great run all the way along the Trent from the Embankment all the way down to Holme Pierrepont ....and then of course 4 laps around the rowing lake will give you a half-Marathon πββοΈπββοΈπββοΈπ€
Congratulations on a brilliant Virtual Vitality 10000! That was a brilliant time and it looks like you stayed dry too.
Step up on that podium and pick up your t-shirt and medal. πββοΈππ»ππ»
Congratulations Sonia52 on your virtual race and a pb. You must be so happy. Have a great weekend πππͺπ₯³π₯³
Congratulations on finishing your first race πππ
That's a cracking time too!
I hope to do mine next Saturday, but first there's another 9k tomorrow on the penultimate week of Magic Plan
Well done on your time. What a great result for you.
It's nice to see someone else in Nottingham. I'm a bit further north near Hucknall. I'm always looking for other areas to run but have never run near the Trent.
Iβm quite lucky to be in Beeston and to be within easy distance of Wollaton Park, Highfields Uni park, Attenborough nature reserve and Bramcote Woods. Plenty of places to run or walk, flat canal routes and hilly woods all near by. Has saved me in lockdown. If you are on Strava you can find me there and check out routes.
Well done Sonia
Wohoo π πππ nice! ππ½
That's amazing! Love the t-shirt!
Congratulations on earning your medal and in a great time π
Well done Sonia and a very decent time too πππ
