Found my sweet spot, carried on for awhile at the end walking and jogging while Willow completed 7k
Woke to blue sky and chilly air, my day off, no rush, off we go
3k round the track slow and gentle running together and saying hello to all the dog walkers, the world is bright and beautiful, I peeled off along the grass through the trees and towards the sea, as luck would have it the lights went red just as I was running towards the road and wondering whether to go on the beach or not, across the stones but the tide was in so back onto the path, along to the next set of lights, by the golf course and hey, I’ve run 6k so twice round the track and back to Willow, we high fived as going in opposite directions then Garmin buzzed and i saved my run, Willow had intermittent cramp so was walking it out then running until it came back and we kept together until his Garmin buzzed 7k woo hoo we done and smiling
Now home hot drinks and bath running
Happy Tuesday all

Thank you 😊 I’ve experimented with an oat latte which is strange because i don’t drink coffee but it was delicious, I bought them for my vegan granddaughter but wanted to try one
Haha - it's a 7k kind of a day - I did mine this morning too although yours sounds a little drier and brighter than mine. Well done to you both. That coffee sounds interesting! 😊
It’ll be a few weeks yet, and to preserve the knees we are taking extra days between some runs, the Garmin plan we tried was on set days and it was too much after work some days whereas this plan we can run shorter on work days and wait for a day off to run the long run
We tried the timed version soon after graduating but i found the 15 minutes dissatisfying and the longer runs too much then but this year the distance version is so much more user friendly than the garmin one we tried that it’s working well
You have come back from a really nasty injury it’s good to know you are running again
One day we want to come and do the not 5k with you all as it sounds such fun but won’t be until spring at least
Very well done. 7K is a great distance, it's a sweet spot on the way to 10K and is a nice run for 5K training. I was out yesterday eveing and ran in the dark for the first time in a long time and completed a nice comfortable 8K.
I ran 8 k once back in April, not sure why i haven’t again, I like that we are following a plan, it keeps Willow moving, we were running a few times a week and he’d get to about 3 k and then sit in the car waiting for me, well there is only so long you want to run worrying that the one sitting in the car is bored or getting cold, so the idea was we stick to the distance even if we have to walk a bit and we start together and end together, i was probably close to 8k this morning but stopped garmin at 7k as that was the plan
Running in the dark is great but where we run there are too many dogs and the ones that go out in the dark are the ones that are more likely to chase or jump at you
If all goes well I'm planning to attempt it on Sunday. I was very comfortable at a 7 min/km pace yesterday evening. I could have continued on. Fingers and Toes crossed.
Oooo, how exciting - 3k to go to that10k doesn't sound too bad. Wow, you are doing brilliantly and I love reading about your progress 🤗🤗🏃♂️🏃♀️.
I'm dealing with quite a bit of 'life' at the moment 🤔, meaning I'm not in a regular routine, though am trying to do 3 runs a week. So I'm still consolidating my 5k, doing a few more hills and trying to get stronger. Just to give you a giggle - it was my "47th fastest" run this morning (something MUST have been wrong with the timer!😄) but also the hilliest and muddiest!!🤣😂🤣😂🤣🧗♀️.
Keep up the good work you two, I will get there one day!
