We’re still not talking about red Willow, don’t know what’s going on there.
Anyway….. there I was on Friday, 5 days off I’m going to run every day then at 3.45am Saturday morning I woke doubled over in pain and dashed to the …..
Enough info, a colleague at work Wednesday went off sick with similar, connected or not doesn’t matter.
Yesterday feeling much better but not really up to a run, we were going to the beach with grandson but woke to grey skies so went to a castle instead,
This morning, blue skies, I’m going no where until I’ve run so after some faffing to get the right music on Garmin, a little gentle cursing and we are off!
20 minutes planned, start slower than usual, feeling a bit weary so plod on, we run together and keep it slow, first kilometre 9.37 and keeping going, my music ran out so ear buds in pocket keep it slow keep it steady, it’s warm but breezy so nice running weather
Second kilometre 9.33 so negative splits, sort of, 20 minutes done, both happy, not worn out, walk to pick up a few windfall apples and home.
I’m in the Blue…. never been blue before…..off to the beach now.
Have a great day all

Yep, that is labelled "Superior". I had a brief period in the middle of July when I got into that zone, probably due to the short, hot runs I was doing in the heatwave. I've dropped back into the Blue zone this month.
I got up to 79 shock horror and poor Willow is stuck at 73 and dipped into the red, but i’m sure if we run more he will come back down again, my grandson is 20 but then in real life he’s 16 he doesn’t run much but cycles a lot with his dad
Mr Garmin is bonkers 😜 but it’s nice to see and goes well with poor Willows red! anyway thanks it’s good to be better, the beach was blowy and a bit cloudy but lovely to be there, tomorrow cat at vets being neutered so if weather nice it’ll be local beach as it’s only a few minutes away but today’s one very special
Congratulations!! 👏👏👏 The best I've ever been is green, I'm usually hovering between green and orange 🙄 Glad you're feeling better and able to run and enjoy time with your grandson 😃A very good run for you both and with some extra goodies to take home for a crumble 😋 we've been picking blackberries every day, enough to make compote to go with yogurt or add a few to a crumble. I love this time of year, so much free food around, and more to come later in the autumn 🍎🍐🫐😃
Isn’t it a wonderful time of year for free food, these apples are eaters, found the tree when we first started c25k so rather special although there are others on the downs I was orange for a long time then green for months, got very excited to be blue
Congratulations ! Hats off to beating the VO2Max wicked witch. I have concluded it does not give credit to long hard uphill slogs, but in Pace alone and seems to like us getting into the red heart rate zone.
Thanks CBDB it’s great to be better, the castle was lovely, the beach even nicer though but entails quite a drive and fair bit of walking to get to and busy today
Great run especially after your sickness. Love the picture of the castle. . I’m just off the edge of the blue 33 and on the green. Is it you have to go faster run to get your vo2 max a higher number , probably cos I’m walking all the time . Enjoy the rest of your days off, 😊
I have been in the blue for quite a long time now but my fitness age jumps around quite a bit.Currently in lockdown and as I'm not working I am running more. Did my fastest 5k my fastest 10k and my longest run over the past 10 days. Garmin added 4 years to my fitness age in V02.
