After slow-smashing both my 5k target ceiling and reaching my 60min run target this morning ( see post in C25k forum healthunlocked.com/couchto5... ), in RunLEJOG I find myself on the beach near Loggans Moor with other fellow runners of the C25k and Bridge210k community.
And yes, now I have to just add a beach run to my bucket list! π π π ππ»ββοΈ

You have had a great day today CBDB, you ran your first 5k and you are now a 60 minGraduate, congratulations, you are also doing well in LEJOG 4ππ
Thank you! πβΊοΈ Love my 60min badge! Canβt believe Iβm running for 60 min! And I didnβt believe people with my weight would be able to, but here I am and Iβm running! So big thanks to this forum! π ππΌππ
Well done, I have only run very briefly on a beach as part of the Scapa Loop 5k (ish) run on Orkney. I fancy trying a proper beach run. Maybe next month in Bamburgh.
Oh nice! I love Orkney but only cycled at that time! But running on that beach sounds wonderful! I can feel my whole vacation plans shifting in my mind... now how to persuade my family?
We went to Bamburgh Castle last year and explored Northumberland. How long might one be able to run on the beach? Is there a 15 min stretch?
We should have been going to Orkney and Shetland again this summer to do the two parkruns that started up since our last visits.
We have been to that part of Northumberland many times but I haven't done much running there, we do walk a lot though. I am not sure about tge beach but if the tide is right it should be ok for running from near the castle to some way towards Seahouses. You wouldn't want to run in the other direction because there are lots of rocks and beyond that the sans is very soft - hard going when walking.
Amazing CBDB, I was over the moon to read your 5k post, it's amazing, huge congratulations πππ₯³πͺπͺπββοΈπββοΈπ π π π π πΎπ₯
My comfy pace 5k takes me about 45 minutes, slow is definitely better, it means you don't run out of steam and finish your runs feeling good rather than exhausted and aching.
You are doing so, so well with the LEJoG tour too, enjoy your beach run π
Congratulations again on the 5k, happy running π₯³πππͺπββοΈπͺπββοΈπ πΎπ₯π
Awwwhhh thank you!!! π ππ₯° So nice!! Comfy paces are my favourite!!! So Iβm lucky that it still is the only pace I have. π€£
Next week Iβll start the c25k+ stepping stone podcasts, but Iβm not sure I can run to 165, or even 155. I might just about manage 150 but Iβm sure itβll be fun!
Thanks so, so much!!! We will run on!! πππππΏββοΈ
5k , 60 minutes of running. Well done you. Oh to try a beach run , it would be brilliant. I see other people's runs along by the sea and it looks amazing.
Arenβt you doing well? iβm loving watching people progress in this, I ran on the beach and it wasnβt as flat and smooth as it looked from a distance I got very wet
ππ€£yeah, maybe itβs one of those things which always looks so great but once you do it yourself .... you realise all the things that werenβt in the picture. πΌ π π But just the thought of running whilst smelling the sea.... mmmhhh...
ππyes, join me on that beach! π But i think you might have passed me already and ... I can just about see you in the distance ... 10 miles ahead! Well done!!! ππΌ Weβll find another beach!
No worries!! We are getting there and letβs face it, none of us can see the leader for dust!! π€£π€£ So weβll just enjoy our views as we go along! ππ€β€οΈ
