I somehow have managed to sort my runs such that I’m running tomorrow on Sunday. Today was exercise/recovery day. 🛌 And Monday would thus be a recovery day, where I usually do my Str & flex exercises.
BUT MONDAY IS START TO RunLeJog4!!!! 🤦🏼♀️🤷🏽♀️🤦🏼♀️
I don’t want to have to run 2 days in a row (I’m a newbie & recent C25k graduate), but ideally I would like to start RunLeJog4 on Monday... to have that start-of-a-race feeling.
Do I ...
- skip the run tomorrow on Sunday to run on the Monday?
Or
- run tomorrow on Sunday but exceptionally run on Monday as well
Or
- run a mini route tomorrow on Sunday to run properly on Monday
And what if I don’t run tomorrow but it ends up raining cats and dogs on Monday?
Anyone else have this dilemma?

Skip tomorrow and start with Lejog on Monday, good luck for your year runs AND walks with Lejog, do not run on consecutive days, however, you can walk as many miles as you like on non running days when doing Lejog.
If I were you, I’d give tomorrow‘s run a miss and cross train or rest instead, or if you really don’t want to miss it, make it super easy and short. Then you can start LeJog with a proper run on Monday. I’m doing it too and totally understand why you want to start on The Day! It’s exciting isn’t it?
And, as far as I’m concerned at least, mores the better if it rains on Monday. 💦 Better than all the heat and humidity of late!
Many thanks. Yes, starting on Monday was always my thinking until a voice said, but what if you don’t run tomorrow and then it rains and you don’t run on Monday! I have only run once or twice in rain, so I still have to get used to that.
Brill, I will do a garden body-weight session tomorrow.
Yup. Thanks! I probably knew this, but it’s so good to have other people thinking along the same lines! (That gremlin voice was my normally sense-making lovable husband, but we cannot always get it right! 🤣)
Thank you. I’ll do a whole-body toning workout session (with resistance band) tomorrow in the garden, that’ll give me my normal early outside experience with a good preparation to make the next day‘s start of the #runlejog4 even more enjoyable.
I don't run on a Monday either... but hubby has a day off so I'll be carrying youngest boy in a carrier on my back and walking 6 miles instead. First run will be Tuesday. Sounds like you've got a good plan though. Enjoy Monday's run 😊
Wow! Nice! Hope you have a wonderful walk and start to the end2end. Sounds like it will be special, sharing it with one of your boys! (Mine is 16, so not quite carriable anymore 😉)
I am!!! Just finished my chosen workout today, so tomorrow I’ll be there on the LEJOG route! Have a brilliant start, I’ll see you ‘virtually’ on the starting line!
