Walked to beach and back

After deciding 15 minutes there and 15 minutes back would give me a half hour steady walk I set off, heading towards the beach. I quickly realised the beach was less than 15 minutes away so I'd get to see the sea. Cool and cloudy this afternoon, I covered just over 2k in half hour, came back a different way and got a bit lost πŸ˜‚.

When I got home my legs felt as if they'd just run for half an hour, they are still.a bit weak but getting better

🍏 Our beach skies look the same now but we’re sunny and lovely this morning… some of the reasons it’s a blessing to be at the coast… interesting changing seas & skies!

SO happy you managed so well! Well done after all you have come through it’s not the easiest to start back out again! So happy for you πŸ₯°

🍏 My recovery is complicated & will take some time… fortunately appointments I have been waiting for all coming up in October… hopefully have a better idea by the end of that month.. I walk every day whether I feel brave enough or not but always linked to Hubby My heart longs to run but have to walk first!!

Slow and steady and that's how I feel, the walking will lead to slow running eventually

Fantastic, a view like that with the moody skies and the glow on that steel grey North Sea water is so worth the effort!

I was laid on my hotel bed the other weekend with my binoculars looking at the sea and beach and it changed literally every few minutes. It was early evening and the sea birds were arriving. Heavy rain, then so murky so I couldn’t see a thing but then the sun came out

I took a pic πŸ“Έ

SueAppleRun profile image
SueAppleRunGraduate1060minGraduateβ€’ in reply tomisswobble

I grew up in the countryside far from the sea but all my adult life I've been lucky enough to be close to the sea πŸ˜€ I just love to see it every time I go out 😍

misswobble profile image
misswobbleGraduate10β€’ in reply toSueAppleRun

we’re as far from the sea as it’s possible to get so love it when we get the chance to visit. That first sighting of the sea still excites me πŸ€—πŸŒŠ

I loved Scratby ! It was my fave place when we last holidayed over there. Gorleston is lovely πŸ₯°. We had a meal there in a seafront restaurantπŸ‘Œ We picked up fish n chips there too before driving on to Carlton Colville to see old friends. Interesting area! I loved Lacons museum πŸ™‚

Excellent progress Sue! πŸ’ͺ Your getting a bit lost made me smile as I managed to lose my sense of direction on my run yesterday on familiar local roads! Must’ve been something in the air! πŸ€” It turned a 30 minute run into nearly 40 minutes In torrential rain. I had to peel all my clothes off directly into the washing machine on my return. Absolutely loved it though. Xx

SueAppleRun profile image
SueAppleRunGraduate1060minGraduateβ€’ in reply toRunKRun

I was lucky and missed most of the rain, all roads lead from the seafront to home but some of them go the wrong way 🀣🀣🀣, I really enjoyed being out and about and feeling stronger xx

misswobble profile image
misswobbleGraduate10β€’ in reply toRunKRun

😁. I put my running gear in the washer too yesterday with a small amount of non-bio. Moments later my kitchen was engulfed in suds heaving out of the machine πŸ™„ it took numerous draining and rinsing to do my laundry. Gawd β€˜elp us 😁

SueAppleRun profile image
SueAppleRunGraduate1060minGraduateβ€’ in reply tomisswobble

Wonder what happened 😯

misswobble profile image
misswobbleGraduate10

Maybe non-bio is not for an automatic washing machine. Not sure as I didn’t read the blurb I only put a bit in πŸ™„. It took loads of rinses for the suds to clear Dratted thing πŸ˜€

SueAppleRun profile image
SueAppleRunGraduate1060minGraduateβ€’ in reply tomisswobble

Non bio should be fine in a machine, but sometimes if there's not much in the machine a lot of bubbles are made

misswobble profile image
misswobbleGraduate10

I had another mass of suds this morning 🫧 I put some Calgon through it on a hot wash, and subsequent washes seemed ok 🀞
