Yesterday was the hottest day of the year and people flocked to the beach, even our small quiet beach was chokka back so I am told
I spent the day in meetings, sticking to seats with the annoying sound of a fan which didn’t help much with cooling the air. When i got home I lolled on the sofa and was heard to mumble things like “we should be in the garden” and “we ought to go to the beach and swim that would cool us down”
Dinner and a doze and then a text from my daughter to say they were going for a paddle at 9.45 perked me up no end. We didn’t see them on the beach so walked on hard packed sand and realised that without C25K we would never have been bothered to get changed, gone out and certainly walked as far
On the way back we saw somethings in the sea and there they were paddling away and throwing the ball for the dog, a perfect end to our walk, cooler than on our couch. After a paddle we walked together until time for us to turn off to our car and waving goodbye we ran laughing along the street, I swear one day we will get locked away
Keep cool and have a wonderful day

Yesterday was yuk...even my home office which is usually the coldest place in the house was stuffy and grim. Envious of the ability to be by the sea so quick.....the end of your day sounds really lovely.
Aah that’s just perfect! So beautiful WillowandSola!! 🤩 I’d be willing to be locked away for being so happy and appreciating having a lot to be so happy about!! 😁❤️
That was a lovely way to end a stressful day, nice photo, there were many complaints from local residents living at the coast about how many people were invading beaches, especially Bournemouth.
The beaches were packed, I’m not bothered about corona virus and people not social distancing but I do wish they would take their rubbish home with them, the beaches are covered in rubbish in the towns and the bins are piled high, what’s wrong with putting your rubbish back in your bag and in your bin? I feel ashamed to be British half the time.....then I go to work and see kindness and realise we look after people so well 😀👍
Working in 31c is not easy so lolling on the sofa would be quite acceptable. But the sea breeze has been most welcome and I’m sure much cooler than home. How lovely to meet up with family for a paddle and laugh. You are an inspiration with the way you have handled being a key working during this difficult time.
Our normally quiet part of the beach was also extremely busy, but no troubles as seen in various parts of our city, where dispersal orders have been set to stop fights and social disorder.
You are so right, I read of a local park a group of teenagers, breaking into two groups and racing in opposite directions to get back together in five minutes to compare how much rubbish they’d picked up, what a fantastic competitive game they’d devised,
We love the heat but I must say the offices are ridiculous at the moment, we are fighting to keep everyone cool and hydrated and safe it’s a battle
Sounds like a perfect evening and another gorgeous photo 😊
