Slow and steady today

Last Wednesday, I developed really painful shin splints so I was unable to run or even walk properly for a few days. I wore my more comfortable trainers today and felt determined to do another 30 minute run but at a steady pace. My calves were quite painful at the beginning but the pain gradually reduced towards the end. Most of the people I saw were also running, which was nice.

I've done a series of post-run stretches and will probably get my boyfriend to massage my legs later with a muscle roller. A hot bath with epsom salts will also be needed I think!

That sounds lovely, I have an on off injury and I do a week of really slow runs quite frequently and it really sorts me out and is enjoyable too. Well done :)
