Went out at 9:30 tonight, wow still very warm and no breeze, wish I could run fast enough to make one..lol
But I achieved my goal of completing a 30 min run pain and injury free, so far. Managed 4k in 30min so nothing rapid but making progress. Iced knee and ham/glute as advised when I got home, ice was so nice.
Although very uncomfortable with the heat still managed to smile a couple of times just been back is so nice.
Hope everyone takes special care in the heat and has a good week.

Good news Lorijay, ease back gently, there is no rush to start increasing distance or time until you are confident you are fully fit. Listen to your body, and keep up the post run stretches and exercises.
Thanks sallenson, so good to be back with the pack. And super well done on your post grad runs..42 mins ..impressive. Ripcurl better watch out when we get started on the 10k
I did 2.6km by the river. It was still very hot but I had water. My calf was tight to begin with and then eased out. Iβm feeling good now with just a swollen ankle that is not painful. Itβs great to be back isnβt it ? How are you feeling? Xx
Oh so pleased for you Paula, that's awesome. Yes it's great isn't it, i'm back out tomorrow night for another 30 min run. Not feeling too bad, nothing of any significance which is good. Just got to keep reining in the enthusiasm to progress but that's probably what got me in trouble so I will learn from that.
Hey Paula as long as we're running who cares. I was just posting to Sutsha and sallenson on the consolidation post and suggested another week consolidating and then a group of us starting ju-ju's plan. What do you think? That's all going well and niggle and injury free.
Count me In. I have to restrain myself from trying to speed ahead to catch up so this is Ideal for me. Iβm taking my elderly parents on a cruise next week but Iβve checked out that there is a small gymn on the ship so I plan to be running !!
