It has taken me since the beginning of the year to get this far. Now on my last week. Should finish after the next run.
Even though I've been on it so long I still don't do 5K.
What I intend to do is to keep adding more time, 32 minutes next week, until I do run 5K. After that I'll try getting the speed up. It's great to read about people doing this. Very encouraging

Go you! Lots of running builds everything up... Short runs, 30 minute runs and best of all, the long slow relaxed runs, which are the ones that develop everything! Stamina and strength and eventually distance and SPEED
well done for keeping on, it doesn't matter how far you go, it's a very individual choice
adding a few minutes each run seems like a good way to go though, and there is a new ju-ju magic plan for distance and / or time starting next week I believe if you would like to do it with a group for support - the time option is to run towards 60 minutes irrelevant of distance
It didn't seem like that long really. The hardest part was the first 8 minute run and then the first twenty minute run . After that it was a lot easier.
Usually I run with my dog but I did those runs without him so that I didn't have to think about stopping to pick up after him on the run. Usually he gets it done during the warm up walk but not always.
