This is 4 weeks post graduation and I’ve continued to do 3 runs every week. There has been progress as of the last 6 runs, 5 of those have been 5k!! The times are improving too with a pb this morning of a fraction over 34 minutes. However my favourite run this week was a shorter one of just under 3k with the LGO (little ginger one - aged 9) who joins me occasionally and has slotted in at week 5. It was also a tourist run (Moffat) so had a lot going for it! Next visit there I’ve promised to join their running group one evening but it didn’t work out this time (I’m a bit afraid of all the hills around there to be fair!).
Summary of this post
I can do 5k 😃
I may not do 10k 😱
Sometimes it’s fun to do less 👍🏻

I graduated last week and am doing my third post graduate run today. I am working now on building up speed to do 5k in approx 30 mins. Took me 41 minutes last week ( I wanted to see if I could do 5k and how long). However, for me, the most important thing is that I enjoy it. Look forward to my next run. Chafe a bit on rest day etc. It has to be fun or you will give up. Keep enjoying.
