On Thursday I went out for my 5k on week 4 of Jujus bridge to 10k plan. The shorter runs have been feeling really hard lately and my times are getting slower and it’s really disheartening me, but off I went anyway. At 2.5k I hit a hill that I’ve done before but every time the gremlins come and tell me I can’t do it. Today they won and I stopped. I was so disappointed but my OH spurred me on we carried on. It was a very difficult run and then at 4.8k i fell face first to the ground ouch!! I’m really thinking runnings not for me and wanting to give up at the moment. Also I’m feeling very sorry for myself following my fall, although only a few little injuries. Today’s meant to be an 8k and I just don’t know if I can face it. Pep talk needed please!

I went through this in Feb. Nothing was working. I wasn’t getting better and I was getting really down with it all but I kept going and this last two weeks has seen a real change. Don’t give up. Get out there and do the 8k. Do it slowly. As slow as you need to get it all done. You will feel wonderful when you have. The time doesn’t matter with this, it’s just getting it don’t. Plenty of times I was thinking I could have walked faster but speed comes later.
I’m rooting for you 😘
Thank you for your reply! I did get out there and I did do it!! I just took it very slowly. I’m so proud of myself and I managed to stay on my feet this time!
