Everything was a bit stiff this morning after my almost 10k on Sunday and the cold, rainy school run didn’t exactly inspire me, but as soon as I got home I got my kit on without even thinking about it and got out there.
Ankles and knees were complaining to start with, but they soon eased into the run and within 10 minutes everything was moving happily. I kept a very slow pace to start with and then the Garmin tells me to run hard for 20 seconds with 45 second recovery jog, 14 times. *silently cries* I didn’t think I could do it. I’m not up for it this morning! Those 20 seconds seemed like forever. But somehow I got through it and was so glad when it was over. Pleased I persevered, but my feet didn’t feel very happy on the cool down walk.
Home for a shower, yoga stretch and a cup of tea. I’ll take a few rest days before my next run just incase.
