Update: Weighed up both recommendations and went for the Sunwise as they looked a little more feminine and still come with accents of orange! Didn't know which ones you have Irishprincess as the link went to all the running ones. Was a toss up between Greenwich and Windrush, but decided on the interchangeable ones so I can use in all light. If money was no object I'd have gone for the Hastings Midnight, but alas my wish-list is already too long! Thanks to you and pinkaardvark for taking the time to share your advice.

Update: Proper Running Sunnies
Cooooool!!! π Looking hot Sharron! π€³π»π x
They're alright eh! Cheap at half the price too. Put my old ones to shame! π
Would be interested to see what theyβre like to run in and whether they stay on your face. Iβve run in my normal glasses before but not at any great speed! π€
Yeah, I've worn them quite a few times now and they don't move. It got dull last night so I moved them onto my cap and again, no problems. π
Have true wireless headphones and they also stay put. Changed the buds to foam ones that act like traditional earplugs just in case. π§
Maybe I'm just lucky! π
Great!! I may need to get a mouth mask π· too as I end up chewing sand on my runs!! π€£ x
God, yeah, must be awful. I know we're supposed to keep our head up, but does it help to tip your cap forward at all? Just thinking it might act as a barrier.
Also, you could try a running buff although I'm really not sure how that would feel. I hear lots of runners are running with them around their necks wet during this weather, well maybe you could pull it up over your nose and mouth, although that sounds like it would be terribly hot and uncomfortable. Maybe worth a shot if it's that bad???
π·
I actually run with my head down now. My hairdresser was running a couple of months back tripped and fractured her leg!! π±
Goodness, not good. Yes, you stay safe and keep the head down. We don't both need to be on the IC! πππ
Iβm having to run with my head down as I run by the river and as a mouth breather I keep swallowing midges when I look up!! Extra protein I suppose π fab glasses by the way - look great!
Thank you! P.S. Bike at the midges π¬π€’
Check you with the posh do! π
Ah, it's loads lighter than I usually go. My usual colour wasn't lifting as much as I'd like so I guess I went OTT. Hair not styled properly as I was just about to pop the cap on! Wouldn't be caught out without it. ππ§’
Yeah I often have the same problem π€£
Iβm more grey then brown these days
Just For Men is fantastic, unless you're I the growing old gracefully camp! I'm in the "It's not happening to me, I still feel like a teenager" phase personally. It's lots of maintenance but hey, YOLO! π€£
Very nice π Mine were a pressie from my husband and are bright orange. Not a colour I would have chosen as it clashes with my usually red face! But children seem to like them and I usually get waves and smiles from them when I'm wearing them π
They're fab and I wear mine in the garden now too as they're easy to find π
Enjoy....
Sounds like the twister/predator ones that also caught my eye. Just thought I'd get away with the black ones with more outfits. Thanks again, love them! ππ
You look totally different without your cap! Looking good! π
Thank you Saartjie ! I'm crap at selfies, but give it a bash, maybe I'm past caring, lol! (I'm not, I'd never put them on Facebook!) π
Looking good Hidden ...I like βem!!
Late to this particular party, but very interesting (and yeah looking good, capless Sharon π).... I always run in sunglasses, but am just wearing my usual ones which I also use for golf, driving etc.
Thanks Hoagy! I'm finding it much better. Did the whole C25K without any, but really seeing a huge benefit. No salt at the sides of my eyes, no squinting and generally can see where I'm going now, which is always good! π
They look good sutsha - I wear my bloc ski sunglasses and they have been steaming up in this heat π
Must say, so far they haven't steamed up. I must try the variable lenses. π
P.S. I've never tried skiing sunglasses, just use my goggles. Now, you've got me thinking!! If I knew I'd get away with them for skiing I think I'd have gone for the fancy pants polarfusion version - missed a trick there! πβ·
I use goggles for low viz and sunglasses which wrap onto skin (no gaps around if you know what I mean) for the bright sunshine. Iβm hoping the skiing will be better next season as I am now fitter in many respects. πΏβ· how can I be talking about skiing In July?
Gotta think ahead! Last couple of seasons have been iffy over here tbh. One of the main motivations for running is to strengthen my ski-legs. Went out last season less than fit and didn't make much progress. Fitness is everything in injury prevention.
As for skiing in July, I often visit the indoor ski pace nearby in Intu Braehead (Snow Factor) which uses real, albeit man-made snow, in the summer. Quieter, better rates, keeps my hand in and is a great cool-down in hot weather. Oh, and the German bier afterwards might be somewhat motivational!
I only took up snowsports about 4 years ago and since then I've been much more active and turned into an "outdoorsy"! What's it all about!? π€£
Youβve just reminded me I have a birthday pressie voucher to visit Milton Keynes snow dome, that would be a nice day out. We love Colorado so have bought a 2018/19 season pass already (cheaper than a week pass) and will go for 2 or more weeks. We havenβt had a bad season yet - touch wood. Just love being there.
Very nice too! Mine were Β£3 from Lidl π³
I wish I hadn't read this π
Now I'm looking for runglasses!.
I already have to put headband, earbuds, sometimes cap on, still squinting against the light though.
I never considered sunglasses, even though mine are rarely off ( I'm photosensitive π)
How many more items can you shove on one head?, I swear it takes me longer to get ready for running than it does to get ready for work. .
Amazon, here I come.
You look fab by the way π€©
Haha! I'm sure we can get another couple on Jell6 . It'll be like human buckaroo! Love it! I'm loving these as they are so light compared to my regular Sunnies. Wrap-around is great too. If you look at my original post you'll see other recommendations too. Good luck! ππ
