Sorry for not posting previously, I have run quite well for the last 2 weeks. Monday 5th I ran for a little over 6km at a very easy pace and no adverse reactions, Wednesday of that week I ran full intervals which was a welcome change and then ran a sub 30 minute 5km on Saturday. Monday just gone I ran for almost 50 minutes and covered 7.7km again at an easy pace as I am still not trying to push too hard, then ran on Wednesday and then today went out for a run but had to walk the last part as my Achilles problem flared up again. A bit disappointed but at least I got some decent runs in, I will again treat my Achilles with heat, ibuprofen and massage and see if I can nurse it through Christmas. On the up side today is my last day at work until 3rd Jan, so hopefully I can still get out there and pound a few streets.
I hope that you are all well and not on the injury/sick couch and enjoy your running!
Take care of yourselves and don't overdo the Christmas festivities

Take care! Your twanging Achilles is telling you something. Listen to it and give it a couple of days off. Proceed with caution at this stage of the game. It's the point when folks can get carried away with their new-found running prowess and get hurt. It's so easily done. Too much too soon. You're right to want to progress slowly. Running legs have to be built and slow running does that, so don't think it all has to be done at a fast pace. Fortunately it doesn't
Be sure to enjoy yourself. The process of going further is really fun and rewarding. Well I thought so. I hope you do too!
Take heed of Wobble. I'm nursing a fractured knee. Don't want your Achilles problem getting any worse. Well done on your runs over the last two weeks. Like you, I am off til 3rd Jan. Great feeling, isn't it! 😀🏃🏼♀️🏃🏻🏃🏼♀️🏃🏻👏🏻👏🏻
