My Running week

Hello all you lovely people I hope that you are all well. My running week/s now consist of working towards my Triathlon in June. So to that end although normally I run 10k on a Monday this week I went and ran the 5k course that I will be doing on my tri. The park is lovely and fortunately not too many hills on the route which will be good after riding 22k's. No intervals on Wednesday for me as Thursday was a brick session which meant a ride of 26k's and a full 5k run after. Completed in a time of 1hr 33 which I was quite happy with and I know there will be people out there much faster than me but I felt really happy with that time. And so to this mornings run, started on the run felt pretty good, my splits were coming in at a good time so really pushed on (for me) and so had completed 4.5k in 25.43 but I was pretty exhausted so I though I would slow down a bit as that for me was an excellent time, the only downside was that my slowing down consisted of a walk for the last part. So I was happy that I had run such a quick pace but a bit disappointed that my brain told my legs to walk the last part. Still the next tempo run I am going to nail it. 3 more weeks until my Tri , unfortunately I have sore feet today with what feels like some blisters so I will have to be careful of that.

Until next week have a good week keep on running and stay injury free!
