Hi M1987

If you look at peoples blogs , it can take several weeks for meds to work & some times they have felt worse before they feel better but the good news is they do start to feel better & glad they stuck with them

Its early days a week so try & stick in there a while longer & see how it goes

Your sleep will get back to normal

Let us no how you go on

Hi. I've been on citalopram for 3 months. It took me about 2 months before I noticed the difference. I was ready to give up on them as my anxiety and racing thoughts were initially worse but I am glad I stuck with them as the last few weeks I have finally begun to feel more human again with less anxiety. Thanks to the wonderful advice from thd guys on this forum I rode the storm and I am glad I did.

Can I ask, when do you take your tablet each day? Some people complain of restless nights if they take them before bed. However in my case I have found taking it before bed helps me sleep better. When I was taking it in the morning I was extremely sleepy come 3pm. My doctor did advice that citalopram shouldn't make a person tired but it affects people in different ways. Stick with it if you can. It's worth it. And of course if you're worried make sure you speak with your doctor. Good luck.
