Yes I get it every so often I stretch and that’s when I normally get it and it’s so painful to move.

Its horrible I've never had them let alone in both calves at same time. Ill get it on my foot here and there but this was scary and now walking around running errands they are so sore as if I worked out for hours.

I’ve never had it both but I have had it my foot and calves before I get it every so often. I don’t think it’s anything to worry about, most likely cause could be stress.

That's what I'm thinking. I'm always so tense and actually was really relaxed last night dreamt and all. So maybe my muscles aren't used to being relaxed cause they haven't in weeks thats it just cramped up.

You have low potassium and low Magnesium levels, mainly Magnesium. Buy a Magnesium supplement, Magnesium glycinate preferably and eat bananas. You'll soon see the end of your cramping.

Thank you. I try to eat bananas every day and take 100mg of magnesium here and there which I'm sure isn't enough. Have a Dr appointment Tuesday going to have him run my blood work on those. Thanks again. I was just so freaked out its like ill get better from one thing then something else pops up.

Your blood will show correct levels of Magnesium as the correct ratio in the blood is about 1%. If your doctor is any good he/she will explain this. When you're stressed Magnesium is burnt up like fuel to a flame.

Reading your comment and feeling tense, I'd say you're not actually tense just deficient in Magnesium even though you supplement with what I'd guess is oxide ( check ingredients ) this is the worse kind to take. Magnesium loosens and softenes muscle while calcium stiffens it, so if you eat alot of dairy and are low in Magnesium, you'll feel tense but are not !!.

And funny you say that cause I have upped my calcium which I wasnt big on before.

in reply to Mpa5524

There is your problem, you do not need calcium, don't take it if you're supplemting . If you have a good supply throughout the day of dairy, which also includes potassium, then you won't need to supplement with calcium. What you need is Magnesium and vitamin B6 along with vitamin D & C. That will keep your bones and teeth healthy, reduce tension and increase energy and a lot of other things, mood stabilizer is one big one. Up that Magnesium if it's a good source you take, glycinate or taurate.

Hi Mpaa5524, I agree with TimTim22 in that not enough Magnesium is often a cause of muscle spasms in your calves. It's true that something as simple as eating a banana can make a turnaround. When you do get a Charlie Horse in the back of your calves (usually from stretching) immediately place the arch of your foot (not the ball of your foot) on the edge of a coffee table or a hard chair and press down with your leg. It will help release the spasm just as quick as it came on. It may have to be repeated a couple times but it does work. By releasing the cramp fast, it won't leave a long lasting soreness as it does in not addressing it. Hope this helps...x

Had that for a while. It can be something s simple as vitamin D deficiency.
