Study Discovers Internal Trigger for Panic Attack in the Previously Fearless

We recently read a very interesting article in the New York Times about a study of a woman who was apparently fearless but has suffered a panic attack despite lacking a functioning amygdala, an evolutionarily ancient part of the brain long known to process fear.
