I was feeling tired so thought I'd jump at the chance of an early night and hopefully a full nights sleep!
As soon as I lay down the feelings hit! Hot flushes, nausea and my mind begins to wonder. So fed up

Do not despair....A tip that worked for me (distraction) I used to fall asleep with headphones on (or earplugs) listening to music which made me feel i was emotionally in contact with the song ("stay another day" was one favourite). there are always songs which make people feel good...you will have yours to bring back good memories...find them or a fav album and get your earplugs in....xxxxxx (tai chi...."sunrise" ?...check it out...sleep before first track is over )
Hi angel, the distraction option can really work, so try it. For me though just close your eyes try to breathe deeply and let the fuzzy noise of exhaustion fill your ears. It's a option for me however anxious I am. Hope that you sleep well.
try to relax before you sleep, don't eat late and don't go to sleep unless you are very tired, make sure there is not light even if it is TV signal, i found reading a book makes my eyes tired and force me to fell asleep. consider taking herbal tea as well. xx
Oh! a half hour of silence without the TV. Or if you don,t feel comfortable with the silence get your soothing music on!!! helps slowdown the racing head...xx
Hi my sleep pattern is a bit hit and miss so I sceptically tried chamomile/camomile hot beverage (I refuse to call it tea, Yorkshire tea now that's proper tea, short rant over) anyway I tried it not knowing that it's a natural sedative and was surprised at just how well it worked.
