HI there. No you have not asked me this but i really cannot comment as im not familiar with the Tinnitus. Im not even knowledgeable with prozac so i would rather not comment. Im sure if you go to the NHS Direct website there will be a link in which you could find the answer. Sorry i cannot help with this one my friend. Good luck though in finding the answer you do so require. x

did a bit of research.found out Prozac can be ototoxic,my doc should of looked at my notes before prescribing me prozac,as it would clearly state,i have tinnitus, problem is i don't want to take nothing for fear of acute anxiety coming back,so far the Prozac seems to of stopped that.

Im glad you found something. I would go back and speak with your GP again and tell them your findings, if this becomes and issue i would maybe think about seeing another GP within the practice or just get a second opinion somewhere. Its awful when our own GP does not look up the notes. I remember being put on a higher dosage of omeprazole for my osophogus reflux desease and this was by the consultant at the hospital. Anyhow when i went to see my GP i could not get in so had to see another one, i was not happy when he said i should take less omeprazole. I told him about the hospital and it was not his choice to tell me as the consultant had increased the dosage and he just said he thought i had done this myself ? i ask myself what on earth is it with GP's these days i know they are all busy but when your dealing with someone's health i at least expect them to look at my records and understand who they are speaking with and for what reason you are there. Anyway i refused to see this GP again and now when i go i insist on seeing the same doctor. Not sure what i would do if she left the practice. Anyway just glad you have found something of interest that has helped you see why you have this problem. As for taking anything else i would go back to the GP explain your findings as i said and see what they come up with. Good luck hun. x
