does anyone elses legs turn to jelly when feeling anxious?
my does the same when highly anxious too just one of the many symptoms of anxiety but it passes x
Same here,we are all suffering the same, consolation is we are not alone and we can get through this.x
I've got a new one! My legs won't move when I'm at a counter or the cash point. My brain sends the message to my legs but they won't move because I'll fall or something. A bit hard to explain.
Now I'm anxious that the next time I shop I'll be stuck by the counter for ages.
My whole body shakes, never mind my legs turning to Jelly. I feel like I am going to collapse as I am shaking so much. I have to keep moving around. It is just excessive adrenaline in your body, which has nowhere else to go and so keeps you feeling strange.
Exercise burns this off, so get up go for a walk, go for a run around your own living room if necessary. I put some music on and dance a little, takes your mind off the excessive thinking and negative thoughts and gets you active all at the same time.
Feeling like Jelly or shaking or muscle aches and tension are all part of anxiety unfortunately. We all get this to a degree,.
I agree with Wildmage and was about to say the same. My whole body shakes. My stomach even feels like it's really weak and shaking internally.
Also agree with getting on with things and exercise. It's a hard thing to push through but agree it really does work. Either that or if I'm so tired by it I sleep it off.
Yes, and when I try to walk I sway around. I try to hide it by holding on to things.
Maybe people think I'm just totally chilled........ (!!!!). Wrong.
hi thanks for your comments i tend to shake all over too but it tends to start and is worse in my legs if im out walking i start walking really fast and if im waiting for the bus to work i start pacing back n forth while im waiting and feel like people are looking at me like im crazy but its worse if im still. x
jelly legs are the worst! i get that and it just seems to make me more anxious. x
Hi,
Yes yesterday when i was waiting for my bus as it took 20 mins it to came, i started to feel shaky and dizzy, and i can't wait that properly after attack, as it still feels like i can't walk and i have to hold on, i think its like jelly feeling, but not too sure how my legs feel.
I know these posts are a few years old but I have to say I struggled to get out of the supermarket today as my legs went so weak and weird. SO scary.
I have experienced all this. I find that taking probiotics and using apple cider vinegar and or lemon juice with meals really helps alot. I am just starting back up on the lemon and probiotics. I've heard alot of people say that anxiety is from the gut. And That if you heal your gut you will cure anxiety.
Oh my gosh. I feel this SO MUCH. I feel as though i am about to fold up on myself. Am worried that it may be more than anxiety . Drives me mad. I know this is a reply to an old post and hopefully everyone who posted previously is faring well in these troubled times. Thank you sll. 🙂
