Dopamine fights cortisol which is the stress hormone. The way I think of it is it's like dopamine is Pac-Man and the stress hormone is yellow dots and blue ghosts.

If we can find positive ways to make dopamine like exercise, achieving goals, checking things off a to-do list, etc. then the dopamine will zoom around in our body gobbling up the cortisol which will help us to feel less anxious.

Magnesium also helps reduce anxiety so eating foods rich in magnesium can be helpful.
