Getting anxious about going out tomorrow for my health check,it's been slowly creeping up most of the aft,when will I b able to just go out without this fear all the time?

Hi meg, I understand your anxiety about this, I feel the same way about health checks (but don't have a fear of going out) can you maybe find a positive in it? from what I've read you haven't been feeling too well for a while now, you may move further forward in feeling better (this is how I try to deal with medical checks and stuff) can you try some relaxation techniques? A distraction maybe? Hope you feel a little better soon.

Hi Meg I'm exactly the same if I have an appointment with a health person I dread them taking my blood pressure I panic which sends my bp sky high my doctor understands and lets me take it at home and take my readings in. It's hopeless isn't it why do we worry so much

Had to call an ambulance ,thought I was going to pass out ,it's been awfull,they took me to the docs

Thanks love so do I,gotbloods done,ring fri for results,had ECGin the ambulance,that was fine,they seem to thinkit was a major anxiety attack,iv got some new a/d to try

That's your anxiety it does that we never seem to think everything will be ok , but I am sure it will be
Tell the thoughts to go away you are not listening
Have you any chocolate cake left , some more of that might help
I haven't had any cake yet,
No iv no one to go with me ,il have to o it alone
Just a suggestion but is it possible to break the journey into small steps and perhaps just think of the step you are doing like a list and as you complete that step give it a mental tick or if it helps have a written list and cross off as you complete each step. I find and this might not work for you that the big picture just makes me feel sick but if I break it down down then although i am still anxious it becomes a little more manageable. also when you get home reward yourself with A treat. Hope you manage this .
Its a thought ,but I'm struggling with low blood pressure at the mo,iv nearly passed out twice already
