I’m really trying to exercise but it’s not helping. Makes me more anxious if anything. Went for a 3mile bike ride yday and thentoday I went for a 2 mile jog/run (interval) and I’m just so out of breathe during it then after my whole body feels weird. I hope it’s just me being hypersensitive to all of my body but my breathing feels weird like a butterfly feeling in it. I don’t know I’m too scared. Do I have to push through, will it get easier? I just want to give up.

Hi. Dont give up. Just push through and see if the breathing gets better. It's great that your out there and excersizing. A 3 mile bike ride and 2 mile jog is great. If I were to do that right now I'd be breathing rapidly. I'd have to start out less then that cause it's been a long time since I've ridden a bike or went for a jog. Have you been bike riding and jogging for a while or did you just start up?
I've just started jogging again. It's been a week and I don't get too far. During the exertion and shortly thereafter I feel a little wound up, but later in the day I notice the benefits. Supposedly it takes a little time for it to really start helping in a big and noticeable way. I'd keep at it, but definitely pace yourself.
I want to start back exercising myself. I quit a while ago for the same reason. Afraid of that light headed feeling and heart racing and fluttering feeling. So unfortunately for me I stopped and haven't started back for over a year or more now. And many people always encourage me to get back into it and that exercising helps with anxiety but I keep thinking about those first initial feelings that makes me think something bad is gonna happen when I exercise. And also I had quit the first time because I was losing so much weight from anxiety that I didn't want to do anymore extra activity to aid in my unwanted weight loss. So I know how you feel. I was considering starting back walking atleast.
Maybe start slower. I’m going on walks and that takes energy from me, sometimes I end up napping afterward. Make sure you are hydrated and eating enough too.
Hi sandy1710. I exercise every day It's hard at first I hated it! But it will get better for you I love it now and my breathing is fine now! Good luck
