Had an ablation procedure 6 yrs ago and this halted my first experience of atrial fibrillation. Now has started back up again. Leaves you feeling dreadful, short of breath and scared. Obviously went to A n E ,13 hrs to be discharged with app at GP for ECG 8 days later. Still waiting for that. Over the 13 hrs in A n E witnessed the depths our NHS he's massively deteriorated over the 6 yrs since I last needed it. Tragic. The end of my story? Junior docs strike pending. Not sure.

Hi chux, There's so many different ways to treat A-Fib nowadays.

It's not the end of your story but the beginning of a new chapter.

I too have A-Fib. Developed it years ago while being in the hospital for

something else. It came on quickly and I knew right away what it was.

Called the nurse, medical team called in and confirmed it.

Had Cardioversion which didn't work, was put on medication as well as Warfarin

and am doing great.

There isn't anything I can't do including shoveling snow. We each have to trust

that our doctors will find what's best for us. I wish you well. Good Luck chux :) xx
