Blood test results - high haemocrit, high Hb

Been struggling with anxiety for 3-4yrs. Managed to get off some unhelpful antidepressants ( made me worse and took years to get off) and then had horrific stress as husband diagnosed with cancer. So my last blood test has come up with high haemocrit and haemoglobin and this has terrified me so much and cant stop thinking about it. I’ve even thought maybe its showing I have a horrific illness and it was never anxiety!!!! Anyone else had high haemocrit and Hb? I have read it can be caused by anxiety and dehydration…

ukred, I am not a doctor but do know that stress may cause many issues as well as

dehydration. Our body is fine tuned and when stress comes along in our lives, it

can throw our chemistry off. Please talk with your doctor regarding this issue,

I'm sorry about your husband's diagnosis as well as your coming off

antidepressants. I understand as to it taking me 2plus years to come off

benzos. We become very fragile as our brain starts to heal again. Take one day

at a time both for you and your husband. Wishing you well xx
