Hi Bunny and Welcome to this safe and caring forum.Of course, we all can get apprehensive when having to change
our routine no matter what it might be.
We don't like surprises, we rather stay miserable and know what
to expect than to take a chance in feeling better and anticipate the "what ifs".
I was like you at one time. I would fill my prescriptions and then line them up
on the pantry shelf, afraid to start on them.
Eventually, my pantry looked like a pharmacy and I was getting no better. Go figure.
There came a day that I vowed to accept and believe in what the doctor had ordered for
me. It was the best decision I had made. The "well feeling" that came from that pill
was unbelievable. From that day forward my "what if" became a positive mantra as to
"what if" I never tried it, I would never know the peace I feel in my body and my mind.
Good Luck new friend. Life is about taking chances xx
Hello, it's common for people with anxiety to be hard on themselves and have difficulty with changes. The anxiety tends to magnify things and blow things out of proportion. When changing meds it takes time for our body and mind to adjust, this is a normal part of the process. Try to be kind to yourself and relax some and let your body and mind adjust, trust that your body's innate wisdom will take care of itself.
