Hello this is my first time on here. I have had anxiety since i was 19. I am 34. Lately my anxiety has came back due to a sinus infection and chest cold. I get dizzy gaze into outer space and every loud noise scares me. For the past 2 nights i havent had much sleep and ive been sweating alot. Any advice??

Rest and chicken noodle soup for your sickness. Once you feel better from that then everything else should subside. Sweating could be your bodies way of pushing out the sick germs. Hope you feel better!

Have you ever tried meditation for your anxiety

Yes I have and it did help to take the edge off. Give it a try and see how you like it. YouTube has a ton of different meditation videos.

Thank you I will give it a try. I used to take medication but ive decided not to anymore. I've decided to try other things. It took me 1 year to come out of the house. I'm still getting used to going places by myself.

I struggle with being alone. I don't drive or do anything alone. I also chose to not use medication. I tried it for a year and let's just say it didn't work for me. I currently do acupuncture about once out twice a month, depending on what I can afford. It has helped me.

I am to the point where at night time I sit up and cry because I'm scared to go to sleep. So my 9 yr old son sleeps with me to help me get over the fear. I wish I didn't have to let him sleep with me so much but he doesn't mind.

Thats good you have your son to help calm you down. Children are the best. I have nights when I am afraid I will die in my sleep but I remind myself that my body heals itself it won't kill itself. Then I breathe and say to myself that its just my anxiety. Then I read this forum and fall asleep.

Yes exactly. It makes me feel better knowing that the people chatting with me and giving me advice have personal experience.

Treat your body as a temple, as the previous writer said ingest some good food and nutrients. Along with that have some time to your self and read a good book or watch a nice movie. Just take some time to relax. Hope you feel better! Please come back if you are feeling bad.
