Anxiety and hiatal hernia and taking Buspar?

I probably have a hiatal hernia. I have palpitations And anxiety as a result. Been going on 2.5 months working on a diagnosis. Worried about taking Bus par as the beta blocker I just took made things much worse. Anyone with any experience and hope?

From a medical standpoint a hiatal hernia most probably does not cause palpitations. Anxiety will though. I have had great success with Buspar. For me. It was a miracle! I didn't do well with SSRIs and Buspar was a godsend. Don't be afraid to try it. I am off it now but was on for about 7 years.Best of luck!

Thanks for responding. So for the rest of the story. I have been on Seroquel 25mg. For sleep for many years. Very concerned about interactions as it is tricky. Hiatal hernia will cause palpitations as the stomach presses on the vagus nerve which causes all the parasympathetic reactions as anxiety and heart stuff. So…. What to treat. I am working with the hernia issue and will see a Gastro person. In the meantime looking into treating with Buspar as well to better tolerate the discomfort living in my body. My friend feels the same way about Buspar.. saved her butt. I just don’t want to feel more anxiety as I did with a Beta blocker.. horrible!!!
