Colposcopy results

So I had my results back from my colposcopy. I have CIN3 and need Lletz treatment. I'm so scared and anxious about it. Is there anyone who has experienced this that can reassure me, I'm getting myself so upset

Hello

When we hear anything could be wrong we get so anxious and that is normal

I had 3 heart attacks and then heard if I did not have a triple Bypass I would not be here in 2 years

I have had the Bypass but still am in fear and full of anxiety , I know it is not the same as your results but I imagine the thoughts and feelings are very much the same

From what I gather about your results you have had and I know you will not maybe be able to see this as a positive outcome that they have found these cells and want to remove them before they could turn into something

So it is a positive they have spotted this as they will remove them and you will be all clear of anything going wrong

I know it will be a scary time but try and reverse your thinking which is not easy to I am having this treatment in time so there is nothing to be afraid of and I am lucky they have spotted it and now going to treat me

Thank you so much for your reply and your kind words. I'm so sorry you had to go through all of that with your heart. I can imagine how scared you must have felt. As hard as times get for us we need to be positive about it. I'm terrified about my situation but I know I'm in good hands and hopefully everything will be ok in the end xx

I did many years ago mine was basically the same I had cin3 borderline nuclear changes thank god for my smear test if I didn’t go it would of turned out completely different for me ..basically your cells have slightly changed which means you will get treatment and have the cin3 cells removed. You will have regular repeat smears to keep an eye on you but you will be fine honey it’s just a change that’s all you will be ok xx

Thank you so much for your reply, you made me feel so much better. I think when I first got the letter I went into shock and got so upset not knowing what will happen. Like you said we are damn lucky to be able to get our smears to detect these things early. I'm seeing a more positive side to it now. I'm abit nervous about the Lletz treatment but I know it will be good for me of course xx

I feel your fear I nearly had a breakdown when I got my letter I couldn’t eat or sleep made myself really ill with fear it don’t help that they send letters in medical term so you Google it and then it scares the life out of you don’t it xx

I was exactly the same as you! I had to go out for a walk with my husband just to calm down I was beside myself. Really they should phone you so they can explain it in more detail and reassure you xx
