For the ladies (or those who have someone who experiences this) but anyone else have SEVERE anxiety, before their periods? About a week out from my period - and it always seems like my anxiety, is almost TRIPLED, during this time. Not sure if it’s PMDD, anxiety, Or just acting up due to the hormones during this week. Anyone else suffer from this? What do you guys typically do to push through it? I feel awful!

Anxiety before period
Yes!!
Yes!! Talk to your doctor, it could be PMDD. I got diagnosed and went on birth control, it fixed my issues
I definitely will, I was on BC for a while, but stopped because it made me gain weight and such, but it seriously is agonizing before my period, and my PMS is MUCH worse before I even get my period
Yes
Evening primrose oil is superb for PMS , take 2 x 1000mg capsules per day one week before you are due on your period , this will make a big difference , also have small carbohydrates snacks
Yes! Going though it right now. Sucks 😔
In my younger days, I am now 61 and post menopause but I always suffered extreme anxiety before my period. I would wonder what was wrong with me nearly every month and then boom there was my period. I think it’s normal to feel this way.
Yes, I get PVCs and the week before my period they are at their worst!
Yes - for me it’s constant crying for hours and feeling spaced out and suicidal two days before starting to bleed- my cycle is not regular so difficult to plan and make the initial connection- I’ve downloaded a free app called balance- it’s primarily for menopause but the journal lets you add physical symptoms sleep pattern mood swings etc I’ve found it really helpful as it makes me more aware of the first signs ie I’ve noticed I get tinnitus and brain fog before the tears come so feel a little more prepared x
There is an app called Hormone Horoscope and you put your cycle day and length and it tells you day by day what to expect. I am Peri so sometimes I fluctuate but it's usually pretty accurate. But when it says you're paused at the top of the rollercoaster I'm usually there looking around happy and within the next 5-24 hours later I'm screaming and crying to get off the ride!! Hope this helps and there is a notepad in it to jot down day by day your symptoms.
