Irrational Vaccine Fear am i alone?

I am sure many of you are or have been feeling extra Anxious since the start of Pandemic, I was doing ok to begin with, having to shop for my Elderly Parents. If vaccine had been available sooner i would have taken offer no problem. But as time as gone on my Mental Health has suffered and i am not in as good a place as i was . I also suffer from Pharmacophobia , i know it is not a medication , but at least with Meds i know they have a half life as to how long it stays in your system,. I also know the reality of Vaccination how they work, but i can just not bring myself to have the Vaccine. am i alone in not wanting to have it ?

Hi Claire51 don't worry you are not alone in not wanting the vaccine. My family and friends and I have a lot of scepticism around taking the vaccines we don't want to take them either until more is known about their effects both positive and negative

I quite understand that as one of my sisters has the same fears. I can only say to you what I said to her. It seems safe enough so far and as far as I'm aware they have had all the usual checks but just speeded up because of the urgency. There has been no shortcuts taken.

If you don't have it you will not be able to have a normal life again perhaps for years to come. Imagine how you would feel if you caught covid and gave it to your parents? Or caught it yourself and became very ill?

Not trying to scare you or anything but I have to point this out. Also by having it you are helping to protect everyone in society.

The Second One I Was Scared But Nothing Happened.

Just had my second shot yesterday. I was terrified still even though I already had a first shot and knew what to expect. Today I have a mild headache and my arm hurts. That’s it. I worked in biotech for many years and understand how the vaccines work but I was still scared. I fear Covid more than the shot. Now that I’m fully vaccinated life will be a lot more normal. I can’t tell you what to do, but I can tell you the shots are not nearly as terrifying as I was imagining in my head.

Nope I’m skeptic to I’ve seen 4 bad things that’s happened through the vaccine and it’s put me right off xx

That’s absolutely terrible you still have a right to refuse and have human rights you shouldn’t be forced to do something you don’t want to have
