increase in medication

hi all, I’m currently on 30mg of mitrazapine before bed. My doctor wants to increase that to 45mg before bed. How will the increase affect me, I don’t really like taking medication as it set my anxiety off and I always think something bad will happen. Thank you for reading and any input would be greatly received

weight gain probably maybe heightened anxiety to begin with. how long have you been taking them.

I’ve been on a 30mg dose for about 2 years, I can’t remember having any side effects, just worry about higher dose, but my doctor seem to think that I will benefit from it rather than not, just worried to start that’s all. I’m such a scaredy cat lol

for me coming off them was horrendous ended up back on them taking 15mg instead of the 30mg I`m supposed to be taking.

Can you halve the tablets do you know, I might just take 30mg and half a 15mg tablet but I don’t

I got a pill breaker cost about 2 pound from Amazon I was on 45mg for years started halving them for a few months then quartered but now on 15mg.

Hi it should really not mak to much difference with dose if you have been no to bad side effects with current dose Hopefully be fine

Can i ask if meds make your anxiety worse

Does this med help you at all for your anxiety

Or maybe its for sleep 😴

Or a fear of meds maybe

Hi, yes I take this med for anxiety but because of a huge loss in my life my medicine needs to be higher according to my doctor, just don’t like change and I’m scared to increase the dose

Im sure you will be fine with small increase and already on that med

Sleep is importand

Maybe even more meds needed

See how yo u get on with small increase maybe maybe make no difference as well with small increase

And any side effects contact doc

Hi just to let you know that mirtazapine are more sedative at the lower dose. Hope that helps

Yeah, this is what has been regularly mentioned. 30mg seems to be a sweet spot.
